Two Days of Temptation, Evie North
Genre: Historical romance
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Sometimes I just want a gentle, easy to read romance, and historical ones usually provide that so I chose this one. Well, its a fun story, a mystery to work out, what happened to Sebastian? Why did he leave her, what happened to the child and how did he become blind? There’s nothing too deep or dark here, just a gentle romance unfolding slowly and answering all the questions I had. I liked both Hannah and Sebastian, and the story she understood turned out to be far from the truth, likewise what he thought had happened was wrong. Could the truth come out and make them both happy, and how could they let go of the past and move forward?
Hannah talks about painting pictures of kittens and ribbons, and that’s the kind of feel this book has for me, sweet but fluffy, no real depth. I wanted something light but TBH this was a little too light for me. Its quite short too which probably explains that as there simply isn’t enough space in novellas to get too in depth in a storyline. That’s why I tend to avoid them, and perhaps I should have taken note here. Still, its a decent read if you want a short, light book.
