Love of a Rockstar, Nicole Simone

Love of a Rockstar, Nicole Simone
Genre: Contemporary romance.
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Well, I enjoy rock romances and second chance ones, read the sample and this sounded just what I like. sadly it didn’t live up to the promise and was a fail for me.
Marlene, I felt for her at first. Abandoned at eight months pregnant and working hard as a single mum, she seems a good lead. Then we got to know more of her and she just seemed so selfish, rude to her parents and her nan, who’d been and still were, a great help to her, uncaring about Finn, and ready to drop poor Nils on whoever was around. She’s been dating Finn, but when her best friend suggests she sleep with Luke to get over her crush, she doesn’t even consider him, even though he’s expecting them to live together soon…..Then she offers Luke to look after Nil for the day when she’s called in to work unexpectedly, even though he’s never seen her before…. she’s only four and they’ve just met. “ This is mummy’s friend” then ten mins later “ this is your daddy”!! Then they expect her to just go off with him happily as she can’t get anyone else to babysit. Luke’s expectations are unrealistic, Finn goes from sweet to someone I wouldn’t recognise, Marlene can’t make her mind up who or what she wants, picks at everyone over the tiniest issue and yet when she finds out something Huge her BFF did she ignores it!!! Nils is a sweet kid, 4 going on 14 though – I don’t know any four year olds this mature, but maybe she’s making up for Marlene’s lack of maturity.
Sorry, the people the plots and the whole story just flopped for me, unrealistic in all areas and I struggled to finish it.
Stars: Two, a real fail for me sadly.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
