Kiss Across Swords: A Vampire Time Travel Ménage Romance Novel (Kiss Across Time Series Book 2) Tracy Cooper-Posey
Genre: Fantasy/Paranormal Romance,
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
I loved book one A Kiss across Time ( which is currently free on amazon so well worth trying ) so when Tracy offered me the rest of the series to review I jumped at the chance.
It being some time since I read book one I had to look back and refresh my mind over it, but it soon all came flowing back. It starts with Taylor and Veris taking a trip back to when he was still human, then moves forward to the present time where Taylor gets a huge shock! Throw in something she asks, and Veris avoids answering in his usual way, and it’s off to a great start. She’s with Brody, and he’s saying that Veris does this, he tends to just go off for a while when its something he needs to think about, and Taylor is trying to get him to realise that she’s human, vampires with their long lives can afford to waste months, years even when they have a snit or need to be alone, but she doesn’t have that luxury. Still, he’s off grid and there’s nothing they can do but wait and then suddenly – bam, they’re back in the Crusades. These jumps happen out of the blue and they don’t know when or for how long, all they have worked out is that once they leave the past memory of them is gone if they weren’t there in the first place. They’ve worked out a password type phrase for when they meet one of them in the past so they know if he remembers they are together, or if he knows noting.
They seem to have been send back for a purpose as far as they’ve worked out, but they never quite know what it is or when it will happen. This time Veris has no idea who Taylor is and only knows Brody from the past, he thinks Taylor is Brody’s wife, brought along to the Crusades. He has no idea that he and Brody were together and had been for many years, to him Brody is just another rich gentleman, and he’s just a knight in service to someone else….Brody and Taylor need to get him back with Brody ASAP, they don’t know how long they will be there and if they don’t succeed the future for them could all be very different. Clearly something has changed from one of their visits and made the timeline different to what it was. Wow – what a nightmare, to be swept into a past where everything between you and your lover is changed, and if you can’t get it back then the future where you’re all happy together will be very different. They need Brody to seduce Veris as soon as possible, but given he thinks Taylor is his wife, he’s taken a dislike to her, and he’s also involved with someone else – someone who shouldn’t have been living according to the past Brody remembers – well the dice are stacked against them. Somehow they’ve changed the past, and have only a short time to get Veris back!
Of course the story and seduction of Veris leads to lots of hot and steamy moments, and Tracy does these so well. They fit the story, are sensual and tantalising and blend perfectly with the story as it plays out. The story made me feel I was back with them, its very realistically portrayed from Brody learning about dust baths to conserve water in the desert, to Taylor seeing just what bringing a wife along to the crusades involved. Once again there’s some serious danger, and always that feeling of just when is time going to run out…. It links well to the first book with this time jumping theme and purpose, and that to continue through all the books. I spent ages trying to work out a reason for their jumps, but guess I’ll have to wait til the last book 🙂
Stars: Five, a cracking read once again and I’m looking forward to reading the next. Its a series for the keepers file for re reading

ARC provided by Netgalley and publishers.

Warning: This story features two super hot alpha vampire heroes, multiple sex scenes, including anal sex, MM sexual play, and MMF sex. Do not read this book if frank sexual language and sex scenes offend you.

Kiss Across Chains: A Vampire Time Travel Ménage Romance Novel (Kiss Across Time Series Book 3) Tracy Cooper-Posey
Genre:  Fantasy/Paranormal Romance
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
I loved book one A Kiss across Time ( which is currently free on amazon so well worth trying ) so when Tracy offered me the rest of the series to review I jumped at the chance.
I’m now on to book three, its eight years since they first got together, and they’ve married ( in Tibet I think?) – all of them, and they have a delightful – and incredibly intelligent – five years old daughter. An earlier jump resulted in Taylor being pregnant, as they’d gone back to when Veris was human and so….hey, he’s fertile too!  They’ve finally worked out some of the mystery about the jumps, and how to time them, but it’s still dangerous and they’ve not gone far back in time since that last big one to the Crusades. .
Now the Queen is curious, she’s heard the rumours and she wants to see and have the knowledge for herself. She won’t accept they don’t know exactly why it happens, and to show she means business she sets Brody up in a drug bust…The three decide to slip back three days and set up traps to get evidenced to get Brody out of trouble. Clearly she Queen has gone to some trouble, its not just the local cops involved but she’s somehow brought in the big guns, and he could face jail for this. After his time as a slave back in Constantinople Taylor and Veris know he just can’t do that. He doesn’t talk about it, but they do know he was a slave for 17 years, since he was a young boy, and he still has mental issues with it, even thought its so  many hundreds of years past. Something goes wrong though on their return, and instead of three days back, they are back to Constantinople. Brody is human again and a slave, and they know this is where he dies in a race and is made vampire….it’s horrible but they need to let things play out – they know changing the past carries huge repercussions. As ever though things go wrong, Taylor is trapped in the guise of a rich man’s wife, and Veris – he’s not even in the same country. They know somehow that they have to carry on until he reaches them…It’s a great read once again, full of mishaps and plans that go wrong, meaning they have to work hard to get events to play out as closely as they did so they don’t change the future too much. It takes a lot of plotting, Tracey comes up with things I’d never have though of in this “don’t change the future” scenario. I was just thinking rescue Brody once he’s vampire and go home, but of course the days they are there things happen, things change, they meet and interact with others, and it all needs careful thinking to ensure it comes out right and they get back to Marit and home as it was. There’s some surprises there too when they get back.
Its another hot, sexy, sensual read with a solid storyline and a book I loved. I’d happily re read this series, it has for me a perfect balance of fantasy story and sensuous sex.
Stars: Five, a cracking read once again and I’m looking forward to reading the final book ( at least I think the next is the last). Its a series for the keepers file for re reading

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
