Tied to You, Bibi Paterson

Tied to You, Bibi Paterson

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance, Erotica

I thought this sounded a fun read – well, its not a bad book but it’s got nothing new, exciting, original. Its like a 50 Shades Lite read, a bit of the BDSM stuff, but without the psychological nuances of that book. Everything is simplified, from the BDSM, the “vanilla” sex, the erotica – that’s like a crash course in whipping, a flogger, a crop and then a caning – wow – on someone who’s new to the scene! Then there’s his “Domly” voice – sorry, that’s a concept I couldn’t get along with, just made me snigger.

For me this was like a generic erotic read, but condensed into a short (2640 kindle locations – 214 pages) novel with the realism and excitement missed out. Its got some good plot potentials but they seem to be delivered in for me and unrealistic way or simply over too soon. It just didn’t have anything unique, special, different to make it stand out. Like I said even though it didn’t work for me its not a bad book, just nothing special about it. I ended up skim reading the second half just to finish it.

I note the author has a series out too 30 days have September, 30 days have October etc. and to me that sound too much like the 80 days red/yellow etc. books….. I wonder if they bear the same “lite” as this does to 50 shades? I won’t be reading them in case.

Stars: Two – just couldn’t get along with it – still, I can see others love it and that’s great. We’re all different.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
