Her Halloween Treat, (Men at Work 1), Tiffany Reisz

Her Halloween Treat (Mills & Boon Blaze) (Men at Work, Book 1) by [Reisz, Tiffany]
Genre:  Romance.
I adore Tiffany’s writing, began with book one of the Sinners stories and have been hooked since.
This book is a very different style, much lighter, a quick, sexy and sensual ( and the two aren’t necessarily the same…) read. She’s got the knack of joining humour with sex, and making it funny not sleazy, though at times I wanted to shout, less talk, more action.

I loved the characters, and of course as Joey knew Chris from school it means that pages are not wasted in this quick story with them getting to know one another. They’ve grown up though, and the attraction between them is still there – and they jump straight in to giving in to it.
Joey tells herself she’s just following her best friend’s advice ” the best way to get over a man is to get under another” and Chris? Well, he just can’t seem to stop himself from following her lead and getting hot and heavy with her.
Joey isn’t looking for anything more than a rebound fling, but Chris? Well, he wants more and needs to show her he isn’t just “the next guy”. Then it all gets complicated….
It’s a fun read, love the humour, but Tiffany is so good at that she always makes me smile with lines like this:-
“Good Job” he said to his c -ck. They were a good team too.
There were times though when it came over as a bit too forced, where the less is more approach might have been better – for me anyway.

If you’re looking for a shortish, steamy, easy read this one is perfect.
Why aren’t all builders/handymen like this? The ones we’ve had bear no resemblance, but I guess I’m not Joey either !
I enjoyed it but unlike Sinners it’s not one for keeping and re reading.

Stars: five, a quick, fun and sensual read.

About jeanniezelos

I'm an avid reader, love my kindle and I have my head in a novel for hours daily : ) Mum used to say I'd read toilet paper if it was printed- it wasn't, so i had to contend myself with the back and sides of the cereal packets. I've always Needed to read and we had few books when i was a child hence my penchant for reading anything including adverts then... I review mainly contemporary, erotic and paranormal romance books though dystopian and urban fantasy also appeal. I'm currently rated around the 300 mark on amazon.co.uk for my reviews. I try to keep them structured and to say what I do and don't like about a book so other readers can use my review as a guide to whether they may enjoy the book.
